What is “Wellness Within Holistic Nutrition”?

It took me quite a long time to finally bite the bullet and decide to start a blog. There are so many blogs out there related to food, fitness, cooking, etc. that I wondered if I still had unique material to provide. But when I enrolled in the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Program suddenly I was learning so much new and enlightening information that I had never before heard or seen on a blog post, at least out of the blogs I followed, that I knew it was time. While my family does a great job of patiently listening to me ramble on about everything from acid reflux to grass fed meat, I wanted to share the knowledge that I’m learning with a broader audience. Also, as I’ve started to work with my practice clients I’ve seen the same questions repeatedly coming up. I am hopeful that as this blog grows over time, the resources and information compiled within will be a great reference for my clients to turn to.

I have a ton of topics lined up including educational posts on the foundations of health, shopping lists, my favorite healthy recipes, quick healthy tips, etc. My blog will be focused on real food, which means unprocessed, whole foods that are properly prepared. I’m almost 100% gluten free, and stick to a primarily Paleo/ Primal diet, but I strongly believe in bio-individuality which means that each person is unique and has their own optimal diet (with some similar fundamental rules of course).

I’m so excited to share my own health journey along with some fantastic information from the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner program. I also hope that at some point I can work with many of you one on one as you seek to optimize your own health.
